What is fair trade?

Fair trade guarantees stable and fair prices to small farmer co-operatives around the globe and protects against poverty, slave labor, and other inhumane practices.

Over 7.5 million disadvantaged producers and their families have benefitted from organized fair trade, according to a statistic released by fair trade organizations in June 2008.
